Well well well. The title to this post does not lie. One of the scripts from today has some potential to be a fun little film whereas I have no idea what the second one is...
Is it possible to see the end in the beginning? To be able to see peace in war and love in hatred? It's certainly a very interesting concept and one that I believe takes huge amounts of faith and trust. There is a wonderful example used in The Seven Valleys. which is a mystical book written by Bahá'ulláh that tells the story of a man who longed for his beloved. The man sees life as a mockery without her and basically he is totally broken by the separation. One day he is chased by watchmen who look as though they want to kill him. He runs and is scared for his life as he scales a huge wall to get away from them. He lands into a garden and finds his beloved and they are reunited. Now, the story is far more detailed than that but the basic idea is that the man then wishes he could have blessed the watchman from the start because he now saw that they led him back to his beloved. The message is one that tells us to have trust and see the end in the beginning. To know that pain and suffering will only help us grow and that if we just sit around moping we will never get anywhere! I may have butchered that but it's what I understand from reading it. I am sure there is a far greater and more detailed explanation out there and I encourage all who read this blog (the millions of you) to read The Seven Valleys.
So, yeah that was the idea behind the first script. For some reason I envisioned it as a quirky and funny motivational video with a narrator that cannot be seen trying to educate people. It needs a lot of work but I think it has some potential to be funny but also present a good message!
Please don't ask me about the other script because I have no idea. I will look at it again someday and probably know how to develop it but, right now I want to go to bed.
Tomorrow I will write two more and finally I will be done. Wish me luck!
